Service providers and staff are friendly, kind & efficient. More importantly, they are effective. Results, after a change in treatment strategy is showing HUGE improves. Our senior pup has battled chronic dry eye and related infections requiring multiple, daily Rx, maintenance and cleaning. AEC changed her Rx strategy and she is a much happier fur kid. Very glad we were referred to AEC by our Vet. They both deserve kudos for working with and for us!

I would give AEC 6 stars if possible! I lived in Wilmington for 2 years and took my cat there several times due to issues with his one eye. I just moved back to Phoenix and have had some difficulties with the care here. I called and asked if I could take a picture of my cat's eye and send it to them. I simply wanted to know if he needed immediate attention. I knew it was a stretch since he was no longer a patient at AEC. They sent me a blank email, told me to send them pictures of my cat's eye, then called me back with information. Dr. Fisher put in a prescription at my local pharmacy for antibiotic drops. I've never experienced such great care from an animal medical clinic ever. AEC is amazing! Edit: This review is for AEC in Wilmington, not Carey. I've never been there nor used their services.

My wife took our dog to Animal Eye Care in Durham. We made three trips to our vet for an eye injury so we decided to seek out a specialist. (Our vet was great, we just wanted to see a specialist since the injury was slow to heal.) The Animal Eye Care center was phenomenal. Dr Fontenelle and staff were very nice. The facility was extremely nice, and the price was reasonable.

My dog Finley lost his eyesight because of diabetes. He was referred to Animal Eye Care Center by my primary vet Dr. Kara Bissette-Wheeler. Dr. Rodriguez and her team did an an amazing job with Finley. He had cateract surgery in September 2025 and could see the same day!! At each visit they made me and Finley feel like we were their only patients. Dr. Rodriguez and her team kept me informed of the cost prior to any procedure. Thanks to everyone for all of your care for Finley!!

I brought my cat, Scallions, in for an eye consult due to persistent irritation. I got an appointment less than a week after calling and they found an entroption. They were able to get him in for surgery 2 days later. Everyone was nice, helpful, and answered any questions I had. They charged me a very fair price for all of the services they provided. Update: I added some photos of my cat from further along in his recovery, he is doing very well. I dont even notice a difference between the eyes anymore.

I was very impressed with their ability to handle my strong, agile and resistant cat, followed up by their assessment, diagnosis, and recommendations for treatment. The treatment seems to be working. They are also very flexible in making appointments quickly. Dr. Rodriguez and the medical staff were all excellent.

Top notch service for this speciality! Highly recommend the board certified opthomologist service! We had cataract surgery for our 11 year old rescue. . would not change a thing. Excellent caring staff... Honestly a great experience!
